Download & Test it out

Animux can be downloaded from ibiblio.org site. It comes in the form of an .img or .iso file. Both these are animux's live desktop media images. The live desktop media implies you can boot rigt into Animux without having to install Animux on your harddisks.

Detailed instructions can be found in the "Geting Started" link..

The .img file is to downloaded onto a machine to be written onto a USB drive, while the iso is burnt onto a CD.  We recommend using this over the iso as it contains more software than the .iso. The Animux on the USB runs much faster than the iso on the CD.

Once you have created your animux liveUSB or liveCD, you will have to reboot you machine with the bios set up to boot off an external media.

Hardware Requirements

Animux currently runs on 32 bit and 64bit intel/AMD hardware.  It also runs on the Apple G4/G5 hardware.

Anything created on Animux?
